Once

Once she lay curled like cat on covers of Alfred street double bed
Once clambered over HER to get near
Once pulled HER close got high of scent
Once she purred

Once kissed the tip of nose content
Once kissed the bass of neck she sighed
Once kissed ear stroked naive tickled hips she squealed

Once time stood still in perfect eternal bliss

Once held HER close
Once stroking back whispered old ballads into sleeping ear
Once sat naked edge of bed
Once singing ditty's of lonely girls dancing bare foot in cold welsh rain on mother given mandolin
Once evening fuelled with food tequila love making

Once she smiling coolly calling "sing it again?"
Once she was an ear to my poetical venting
Once approving to naked ranting John Dunne
"Wow there SLOW DOWN, your ranting to fast!!"

Once studied her through lens of old Ebay bought Rolliecord
Once forbidden to hit shutter on HER naked curved sacred scared and sculpted milky frame

Once sang songs for HER in old red lounge strange crowed
Once only HER eyes HER smile where real as whisky burned chest nerves rattled frets of battered borrowed guitar

Once re painted death mask master piece after dress fell to floor and smudged paint
Once, no twice, no more than that we made out on cold dank barrels to the tune of co workers banging on cellar-door
Once we wished no one would burst in

Once wished some one would burst in

Once camped out under starlit sky ripped of clothes burst in to winter surf with nothing to hide
wait... no that didn't happen
Once walked HER in arm around old covered garden dreaming  perfect parties torchlit red wine fuelled tequila mid summer evening parties
Once my perfect party
Once lay listening to Newsome records chanting snowboard kayak amazonian Peruvian adventures after hot steamed showered still perfect lovers lovely bliss
Once she humoured me around old pump house packed with oddities
Once she almost rode a giant plastic chicken

Once slept on cold hard creaking ground while bumpkin Southsea country skater snored and dreamt in bed

Once walked drenched through 5am old Roath streets jet black shinning in pools of street lit welsh mist
Once serenity burnt in thick haze we sang through dark late night
Once knew I could love
Once was to late
Once after week of silence dropped HER in cabinet of tequila fuelled play

Once shacked up with kayak mastering HE MAN
Once she ditched down side road chirping "thought you should know!" as my heart slammed on to the cold damp street
Once paced panic struck in cold dank wet night of unknown hysteria and open air claustrophobia
Once, only once, I called her mine

Once

Once whisky fuelled scent rising jazz filled kinda blue night had no other thought other than you
